The remote cable with three cords and a PC plug has got a length of at least 5m. It can be used to connect the reflectors of digital BAL ballasts. Therefore the three cords have ferrules and a cable lug of the size 1.5mm².
Ferrules and cable lugs are used to shield the stripped ends of stranded wires so that they can be attached to terminals without harming the single wires.
Ferrules faciliate the inserting of cables into terminals and ensure good electric connections inside them.
Cable lugs enable a clamp contact with electrically conducting components with a screw, as is the case with conventional ballast.
