Hubey sowing and pricking out soil
Our sowing and pricking out soil is free of peat. It consists of 70% coconut fiber, 20% worm humus and 10% perlite. This mixture is very loose and crumbly so that the Fresh seedlings can spread their roots quick and easily.
The worm humus promotes a fast and healthy development for the roots and gives the young plant everything it needs for a stable and vital development.
The perlite prevents the plants from drying out too quickly and also provides them with oxygen. Perlite is a German brand product from "Knauf" specially developed for plant cultivation. Perlite is made of volcanic rocks, they are very rich in minerals, which improves the quality of the soil. Perlite retains both oxygen and moisture, which provides ideal conditions for root development.
Perlite does not contain salts, that can be harmful to young plants.
Worm humus differs from worm manure in its nutrient content. Depending on what the worms get to eat, the quality of the final product changes accordingly.
Our worm manure is produced in the Netherlands and the worms are fed with peelings from organic potatoes. This ensures a consistently high quality.
Wurmhumus supplies the seedlings and young plants with many ingredients for optimal root development.
Its multitude of bacteria and enzymes makes it an ideal soil improver.
We use only certified coconut fiber that ensures it has been grown and produced sustainably and is proven to have not used synthetic pesticides.
