This hubey freehand pipe is made of high-quality, untreated briar and captivates not only by its design but also by its beautiful vein.
Around the beginning of the 19th century, the bulbous briar roots have been used to make pipes. After harvesting, the wood is deacidified, dried for several months and then processed. Its structural properties make the briar wood ideal for pipes. The porosity ensures that the wood can easily absorb the condensates that arise during smoking. Moreover, the hard surface can be burnished and polished well. Especially noteworthy is the heat resistance of briar wood. No other wood is as fire-resistant as briar.
The bowl of the pipe is slightly smaller than a normal tobacco pipes' bowl and thus perfect for herbal consumers.
The handmade mouthpiece consists of ebonite, a particularly hard rubber made of natural rubber and sulfur. With its small size and easy handling, this hubey freehand pipe is the ideal companion for on the go.
