The Rhino active carbon filters are filled with RC412 granulated activated carbon, which lays in a 50mm thick bed. The RC412 activated carbon has a pore size of 0,02 micrometer, an average surface value of 1030m2/g, and so it has the best properties, filters can have. It is filled so tight, that no moving of the granulate can occure. If there is an agitation and the activated carbon bed sinks anyhow, a condensed foam ring at the top of the filter will fill all of the clearance.
The custom mesh of the Rhino active carbon filter has 51% open areas to ensure an optimal air flow.
To use the whole filter volume, the Rhino active carbon filter has a conical base, so the air flow is evenly distributed on the entire filter length.
