This Cooltube tempered glass-tube reflector by Prima Klima is equipped with two outer reflecting wings and has two 150er connectors to be connected directly to a fan to remove the hot air within. This gives you several advantages: It's easier to keep the temperature constant, even in combination with a small fan. You can use cupboards, smaller rooms or rooms in the cellar more effectively. Your plants can grow closer to the lamp without being burned.
The reflector should hang in a low position to reach the maximum of light intensity. The right height to hang the reflector can be detected by measuring the hot-spot (the hot-spot is the temperature of the lamp on the level of the plant-top).
Basicly is valid: The cooler and more humid the airflow is, the better the cooling effect.
Working in good conditions the Cooltube reflector can keep cool air up to 8 degrees Celsius.
Pay attention that the exhauster pushes the air through the Cooltube (as shown on the drawing) instead of sucking it in. If not the the fan will get too hot and your device can be damaged.
Furthermore you should NOT fix the hoses with duct tape to the lamp, because the heat melts it. You should use our hose clamp for this matter instead.
-The screws for fixing the reflecting surfaces are driven in directly through the plastic borders at the notched areas. (detail pictures)
-When the Cooltube is delivered, the reflector surface is covered in a thin blue plastic foil, which can be easily removed.
This Cooltube tempered glass-tube reflector is compatible with high-pressure lamps.
